His parents were:  William McKinley "Red" Weatherford and Margaret Cartin Turns

He attended North Dallas High School, spent four years in the Air Force, came home and finished school at East Texas State university.  He went to work for Civil Service Government and traveled Korea, Germany and the States.  He met and married while in South Korea HYAN NAM KIM  "Skoshie".  While they were in Germany they adopted twin German girls and named them SHARON ANNE WEATHERFORD and KAREN LYNN WEATHERFORD.  His wife KIM passed away in Garland, Texas 5-22-1995.  The twins still live in Garland today.  Sharon has married and has a  son.
