Virgil McHenry "Poppa Bear", preciously loved husband of Shirley "Momma Bear" Tilford (nee Gatls) and the late Ellen Tilford, leaves not to mourn but to cherish his loving memory three devoted children, Mary (Garry) Burke, Stuart (Bobbie) and Virgil M. (Carol) Tilford Jr; four loving stepchildren Robyn Felts, Debbie Schomaker, Daryl and John Shaw, also survived by 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and host of dear and loyal friends left to cherish his memory, including friends at the Oakley Senior Center. It is with heavy hearts and deepest sorrow that we say goodby to "God's Shining Star". God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put arms around you and whispered "Come to Me" WE know he will rest in peace in the glory of God's Kingdom of Heaven, with a new healthy body. Praise the Lord. He completed his Journey and began his eternal life on Tuesday, January 31, 1995. Funeral service 2 PM, Friday at the Viehauer-Clepper Funeral Home, 2981 Madison Rd. at Oakley Sq. where friends may call from Noon until time of service.
