William Landrum Skillern was my 2XGr Grandfather b 1795, Bowling Green, Warren Co, son of William and Nancy (ALCORN) SKILLERN.  He died abt October, 1844 in Morgantown. His family was from the earliest Scotch-Irish Presbyterian settlement in VA at Tinkling Springs in Augusta Co. He owned a Dry Goods Store in Morgantown where he and his family had moved about 1826 to live in the Woodbury Section. He was married on May , 1823, in Warren Co, to Harriet R.
