ROY MEINHART SR. TAKEN BY DEATH
ROY HENRY MEINHART, 55, PROMINENT DRUGGIST AND WELL-KNOWN RESIDENT OF ASHLAND, DIED AT 6:35 a.m. TODAY AT HIS HOME, 503 TWELFTH STREET, OF A HEART ATTACK.
MR. MEINHART WAS BORN IN ASHLAND SEPTEMBER 5, 1890, A SON OF WENDEL MEINHARDT, A NATIVE OF OHIO, AND CAROLYN SAUER MEINHART, A NATIVE OF KENTUCKY.
A MEMBER OF THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, HE HAD SPENT HIS ENTIRE LIFE-TIME IN ASHLAND, WHERE HE WAS A PARTNER IN THE DRUG FIRM OF MEINHART AND SMITH, TWENTY-NINTH AND WINCHESTER. HE HAD BEEN CONNECTED WITH THE DRUG BUSINESS FOR THIRTY-THREE YEARS.
THE BODY WAS REMOVED TO THE JOHN STEEN FUNERAL HOME AND WILL REMAIN THERE FOR FUNERAL SERVICE. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FUNERAL HOME AFTER 10:00 a.m. TOMORROW. FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS ARE INCOMPLETE.
SURVIVING ARE THE WIDOW, MRS. ELIZABETH SCHERER MEINHART; ONE SON, ROY MEINHART JR., TWO DAUGHTERS, MRS. RALPH EVICK AND MRS. ORVILLE MORRIS, ALL OF ASHLAND; ONE BROTHER, WENDELL MEINHART, ASHLAND; AND THREE SISTERS, MRS. JOHN STEELE, MRS. HARRY JONES AND MRS. A.S. HARRY, ALL OF ASHLAND.
MEINHART FUNERAL HELD THIS AFTERNOON
ROY HENRY MEINHART, 55, ASHLAND DRUGGIST WHO DIED TUESDAY AT HOME, 503 TWELFTH ST., WAS BURIED IN ASHLAND CEMETARY THIS AFTERNOON FOLLOWING FUNERAL SERVICES CONDUCTED IN THE JOHN STEEN FUNERAL HOME AT 2 O'CLOCK. REV. SAMUEL R. CURRY, PASTOR OF THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OFFICIATED AT THE LAST RITES.
PALLBEARERS WILL BE ARTHUR ANDERSON, LEONARD LAYNE, MYRON CALLIHAN, WILLIAM H. SMITH, WILLARD T. DAVIS AND WILLIAM VINCENT.
