Ralph H. Nunley
dod 10 November 1963(BR>The Rev. Ralph H. Nunley, 52, of 4329 Gartin Ave. Ashland, KY., died at a Huntington, WV VA hospital at 6:15 a.m. Sunday after a six-months illness.
The Rev. Nunley was born in Fayette County, W. Va., Aug 11, 1911, a son of the late Ruben Nunley and Mrs. Maude Newman Nunley.
He was pastor at the Chadwick's Creek Missionary Baptist Church. A veteran of World War II, the Rev. Nunley served in the Navy. He was also employed as a machinist at the Houdaille Industries Inc. in Huntington for the past 18 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Central Baptist Church by the Rev. Marion Duncan and Rev. Lee A. Gore. Burial will be in Rose Hill burial park.
Survivors include his mother, Maude Newman Nunley, wife Lucille Blevins Nunley; son Petty Office 2C Robert Wayne Nunley, USN, Groton, Conn; three daughters, Mrs. Gardner E. (Phyllis) Daniel, and Mrs. Vernon E. (Judith) Barber both! of Ashland and Mrs. Thomas (Janet) Peery of Woodbridge Va. Two brothers, Paul E. Nunley of Columbus, OH and Eugene Nunley of Tuscaloosa, Ala, a sister Mrs. Clyde (Hazel) Biehl of Columbus, OH. and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Nunley Tolliver.
Friends may call at the John Steen Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today. The body will be removed to the Central Baptist Church one hour before services.
Pallbearers will be Fred Stanley, Harry Vanderpool, James Whitlock, Oscar Combs, Robert Gibson, and William Spears.
