Funeral services for Jesse Johnson, 60, Ashland, veteran of World War 1, who succumbed Thursday in the Veterans Hospital in Huntington after an illness of one week, will be held at the John Steen Funeral Home Monday at eleven a.m. with the Rev. Harry Stephens, chaplain of the American Legion, officiating. Burial will be made in the Ashland cemetery with the Clarence Fields Post, American Legion conducting the ritualistic service at the grave. Mr. Johnson, retired, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson, is survived by one son, George Johnson, summit; one daughter, Mrs. Denver Nichols, Ashland; one brother, John Johnson, Ashland, and five grandchildren.
