Chadwick Funeral at 2 P. M. Today - Services at Condit School South Ashland - The funeral of Mr. Oliver Chadwick who was murdered by hold-up men Wednesday night, will be conducted from the Condit school at South Ashland at 2 P. M. Sunday afternoon. The reason for holding the services in the school auditorium is that the Church there is undergoing repairs. Services will be conducted by Rev. Overley, Rev. Clark, and Rev. Spencer, with burial following in the Ashland cemetery. There never has been a cold-blooded murder committed in this section which has aroused the people more than this one. Mr. Chadwick was well known in Ashland, was an upright, honest, hard-working man, and straightforward citizen. He was loved and respected by every man who knew him. His character is recognized by the manner in which the working men of the city rallied to the support of the distressed family. The fund which The Independent started for the aid of this family is growing ! rapidly and is being contributed to by people from all walks of life. We trust those who have not contributed, will do so at an early date. The funeral, Sunday afternoon, will doubtless be one of the largest ever witnessed in this city.
