I have attached an image of a newspaper clipping I have of the Tomcats 1928 National Championship team. I read an account of that game and it sounded amazing. A triple overtime win in Chicago.

It is from Ashland's Daily Independent, Friday Evening, January 30, 1948. And the two team photos are from 1928 and 1940 (as stated in the captions). The 3rd image is of the coach taken in 1928 and included because he wasn't in the original team photo.

Kermit Riffe was my great uncle and he was one of the team members. His mother's parents were John D. & Martha J. Ross. He had a great personality and beautiful blue eyes.
