Query: I"m looking for any information on my ggggrandmother. Maud(e) Alcorn, Allcorn, was born 1895 and I have been told that she died shortly after she gave birth to her daughter Lucille Selma. Maud had married a man by the name of Nickolas Austin. Their daughter was born 1919. Last knows home in 1920 was Cincinnati Ward 1, Hamilton, Ohio. Query: Hello, I am trying to find information on my mother, Wanda Lee Berkshire, born in Ft. Mitchell, Kenton on August 27, 1921 to Robert Lee Berkshire, of Old Stor Mills Road--- born October 1, 1873 and to Shirley/Sherley/Shurley Jenkins who passed away January 29, 1937 in Hardin. Robert Lee Berkshire passed February 6, 1937, just 8 days after his wife, Shirley died. They had a son named Luther Elijah born February 14, 1919; a daughter named Bessie, and a daughter from Shirley's previous marriage, named Eva Charlotte who was born in Montana. I am very interested in making contact with any resources for any of these beloved ancestors. My mother Wanda Lee Berkshire is listed in error as "FRED"! - a daughter! --- of Robert Lee Berkshire in the census---the census taker did write "Wanda" but the "W" looks like an "F" and whoever transposed the information completely botched the name by recording it as "FRED"! Also if anyone has any information or photos of the Grocer William T Berkshire (Robert Lee Berkshire's father) I would be extremely happy to know/see. And if anyone knows how the whole Berkshire Textile industry got started or where I could find a detailed book, especially with regard to the entrepreneurial spirit of the time---and which Berkshire's drove the market place... It must have been such an exciting, bustling, purposeful time and place!
