SERVICE OVER BODY OF MARINE ED WATSON.
(extremely faded)
Barren County .... charge of the funeral and burial arrangements over the body of their comrade, Ed Watson, killed in action in France in World War three years ago. The body was returned from France last Sunday and the funeral service was most impressive.
"The Legion then took charge of the body and escorted it to the cemetery and burial as in military fashion.
"Mr. Watson was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Watson, of this place. He went overseas with the Marine Corps, and died following an engagement with the Germans.
"He was the first Barren county boy to die for his country in the World War."
