MR. JIM VAUGHN DEAD
Mr. James B. Vaughn died at his home here late Thursday evening aged 48 years.
He had been a sufferer from tubercular trouble for a number of years and his death following a lingering
illness.
He was the son and last surviving child of the late C. A. Vaughn and Signora Baker Vaughn, and was
born near Burkesville, Cumberland county, August 1, 1869.
For a number of years he had made his home in Glasgow, where he enjoyed a large business as a skilled
painter.
He was a popular man and a clever citizen, and during his active years was successful in a business way.
Since a very young man he had been a member of the Presbyterian church.
Surviving are his wife, formerly Miss Minnie Seavers, and two children: Mrs.
Paul Bushong and James B. Vaughn, Jr.
Rev. S. A. Ewart conducted the funeral service at the home Saturday morning, and the burial followed
in the cemetery at this place.
