Atended St. John's College and the University of Kentucky prior to enlisting in the Air Corps two days after Pearl Harbor. As a tail tgunner on B-17's, of the 100th Bomb Group based in England, he flew 49 missions. He then joined the OSS and received training in demolition of bridges. He worked with members of the French Resistance rior to the Normandy invasion. After the war, completed college and moved to Tampa in 1949. Entered real estate business, which led to establishing a real estate appraisal practice in the early 50's. Major assignments included all five of Tampa's Urban Renewal Projects. Member of the Appraisal Institute serving as president in 1962. Former member of the Chamber of Commerce, the University Club and Krewe of Gasparilla. Member of the Tampa Yacht & Country Club and the Hyde Park Presbyterian Church.
