Services were conducted Monday for William Marcus Trautman,
Executive Vice-President and Cashier of New Farmers National Bank, who died Saturday at Vanderbilt
Hospital in Nashville. Trautman, who suffered an apparent heart attack earlier in the week, had served
the bank in various capacities for the past 11 years. Among his numerous banking honors, he graduated
from the Graduate School of Banking, University of Wisconsin; Kentucky School of Banking and served
on various committees of Kentucky Banking Association. He was a member of the Administrative Board
and Sunday School teacher of the Friendship Class of the First United Methodist Church. He was past
president of the Glasgow Rotary Club and former Vocational Agricultural teacher at Park City High
School.
His survivors include his wife, Dorothy Fudge Trautman, one daughter, Bambie; and one son,
Marcus Todd, both at home; his father, William Shelby Trautman and brother, Edmund Trautman, both
of Spurlington, Kentucky; 3 sisters, Mrs Myrtle Stubbs of Detroit, Michigan; Mrs Mary Alice Overfelt,
Louisville, Kentucky; Mrs Irene Clark, Campbellsville, Kentucky.
The body was taken from Hatcher and
Saddler Funeral Home to the Methodist Church at 10:20 noon and laid in state until time for the services
which were conducted on Monday at 12:00 noon and laid in state until time for the services which were
conducted on Monday at 2:00 pm with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. "
