Daughter of the late C H and Ivy Bell Knizle Dale
Widow of the late Ira Earl Toohey
Graduated in 1934 from Horse Cave High School. Member Cave City Baptist Church, Cave City Chapter of the Eastern Star and was a retired ticket sales person for Miss Green River Boat at Mammoth Cave after 28 years of service. Active in civic affairs, served as president of the Cave City Homemaker, Cave City Woman's Club, Cave City B&PW Club. Honored to be named Woman of the Year in 1971 by the Cave City B&PW. In 1987, she and her late husband were named Mr and Mrs. Cave City.
Survivors:
Daughters: Emily Toohey Carter and husband Ben of Houston, TX, Linda Toohey Titsworth and hsuband Glen of Paducah KY and Louetta Toohey Reynolds and husband B R of Cave City.
Sister: Jewell Dale Craig of Cave City
Sisters-in-law: Marion Dale of Michigan and Leona Smith of Cave City.
Granddaughters: Vickie Carter Robertson and husband Kent of TX, Debbie Carter Deermer and husband Mark of AZ, and Janet Carter Brewer and husband Robert of TX.
Grandsons: Lester Earl Carney of Cave City, Christopher Titsworth of CO, and Lee Titsworth of South Africa.
great-granddaughter, two great-grandsons, step-great-granddaughter, step-great-grandson.
