"MRS. STOUT DEAD. Mrs. Mary Jane Stout, widow of Mr. Preston Stout, died yesterday afternoon of diseases incident to old age. She was seventy eight years of age.
"Before her marriage she was Miss Mary Jane Williamson [sic], sister to Mr. C. T. Morrison of this place. She was a devout member of the Methodist church and was a woman who was greatly beloved by all who knew her.
"Surviving are the following children: Travis Stout, Bowling Green; Messrs. Jim, Edgar, Preston, Rome, Freeman, and Mrs. John Mayo.
"The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. F. V. Harwood today at the Stout burial ground at Poplar Spring. The interment will follow immediately."
