Oren Harley SMITH - 1914 - 1938
"Funeral services for Mr. Oren Harley Smith, 24, were conducted at the Temple Hill Baptist Church Saturday at 1 p.m., the Rev. T. F. Grider in charge. Burial was in the Poplar Log cemetery.
"Mr. Smith, a farmer, died of a heart attack at the home of his father-in-law, Mr. Roscoe Goode, in the Kino section Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock. He had been ill only a few hours and his passing came as a shock to his many friends and acquaitenances in that community. He was a member of the Baptist Church and held the respect and esteem of every citizen of that section.
"Besides his wife, Mrs. Elsie Goode Smith, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith, of Temple Hill, a brother, Mr. Samuel Smith, Temple Hill, and two sisters, Misses Clarine and Velma Smith, both of Glasgow."
