"On the evening of May 14, Mrs. Neicy Smith departed this life, after a lingering illness of consumption. She had been a consistent member of the C. P. Church for a number of years, and bore her great suferings with patience and cheerfulness. After appropriate funeral services her remains were buried in the family graveyard, there to await the resurrection morn. Her bereaved husband has the sympathy of the entire community in his affliction."
