MRS. HERBERT SMITH

"Mrs. Lula Pearl Smith, wife of Mr. Herbert Smith of the Beckton country, died Monday at the age of 22 years. An unusual incident is that her little three months old son died the same day, the death of neither having anything to do with the other. She leaves her husband and one son, perhaps two or three years
old. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. E. Lewis, are dead, but she is survived by three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Shep Dearing, Misses Fannie and Birdie Lewis, Messrs. Henry and Robert Lewis.

Mrs. Smith was a lovely young lady, a member of the Baptist Church and was a favorite among her friends. Funeral services were held at the home by Rev. J. P. Brooks, and the burial was in the Glasgow cemetery Tuesday afternoon."

Unknown Glasgow KY newspaper, from files of the late Eva Coe Peden.
