called to duty. Upon completion of his duty, attended the National Training School for Boy Scout Executives as Scouting
was important to him throughout his life. An Eagle Scout, he graduated from the National Training School for Boy Scout Executives in 1962 and devoted the next 12
years to serving as a Boy Scout Executive. He held posts in Fulton, Chicago IL and the Philippine Islands

Vietnam and Laos, returning from the Philippines in 1974 and serving a short time in the Chicago area.
He wanted to return to Barren County to rear his family.
He took a position with the Barren County Chamber of Commerce, holding that position until 1981. He rejoined the KY Army National Guard that year and served as a supervisor of Production
Recruiters until retirement in 1994 as a Master Sergeant.
He then devoted his time to his many hobbies which included the collection, production and sale of
Military Miniatures, his extreme interest in the Museum of the Barrens where he served on the Military
