Founder of the T J Samson Commuity Hospital Auxiliary; active in T A R (Teen Age Republicans) and many other activities involving her children. She recently received the Life Long Alumni Member Award from Purdue University. Member Glasgow Bible Church for many years before moving to VA.

Nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins
