Senior partner in the Glasgow law firm of Redford, Reford and Gardner. He was currently serving his fourth term as Commonwealth's Attorney for the 43rd Judicial circuit of Kentuky, having formerly served as Barren County Judge for twelve years, during which time he also served as president of the Kentucky County Judge's Association. Following graduation from George Washington University College of Law in Washington, D.C., he served as Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, after which he returned to Glasgow in 1931 and began the practice of law with the late John E. Richardson. He was a member of the American, Kentucky and Barren County Bar Associations as well as the District of Columbia Bar Association, and National District Attorneys Association. He was admitted to practice before various state and federal courts and agencies, including the Supreme Court of the United States and Kentucky. He was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church, as well as various civic organizations, including the Glasgow Rotary Club, Travelers Protective Association, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and the Filson Club. He was currently serving as a director of New Farmers National Bank of Glasgow, and formerly served 20 years as a director of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Glasgow. He was active in the Democratic politics, having served as a member of the Kentucky State Democratic Central Executive Committee. He served as a delegate to several National Conventions of the Democratic Party. He served as Barren County Chairman and State Chairman in several Kentucky and national elections. He was active in many civic and business activities over the years, having served as president of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, Glasgow-Barren County Bar Association, Travelers Proetective Association, as well as chairman of several charitable fund drives. He also had served as president of the Kentucky Chapter of Former Special Agents of the FBI, and secretary-treasurer of the Kentucky Commonwealth's Attorney's Association.
