Angie D. PRICE - 1870 - 2 May 1940
Mrs. Angie Dohoney Price, 69, one of the most beloved women of Barren County, died at her home in Freedom Friday morning aroun d6:30 o'clock of a heart attack. She had been in ill health for some time.
Mrs. Price was born at Edmonton and moved to Barren county when a young lady. She resided in Glasgow and Goodnight community prior to moving to Freedom thirty-eight years ago where her husband, Mr. Claud Price, is a merchant. Mrs. Price was connected with the rural schools of Barren county for a number of years as teacher.
Many of her students have been influenced throughout their lives by the teaching as well as the training of this beloved lady whose goal in life seemed to center on molding and shaping the lives of children toward accomplishing a useful career in life.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and was active in teaching and practicing the tenets of her religious faith.
Besides her husband, Mr. Claud Price, she is survived by one daughter, Miss Fannie Lewis Price, Lexington; a son, Mr. John Robert Price, Freedom, and a sister, Mrs. John R. Burks, Hiseville.
Funeral services were held at Poplar Log Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. F. V. Harwood in charge. Burial was in the Hiseville Cemetery.
