Mr. Lewis Peden died at his home near Temple Hill Monday morning at five o'clock, of a complication
of diseases. Mr. Peden had been sick several months and his death was not unexpected. He was forty-
nine years of age.
Deceased is survived by the following; his wife, three daughters, Mrs.
James Marshall, Mrs. Haiden McGuire, Mrs. Garner Slayton; one son, Kirby Peden; his mother, Mrs.
Betty Peden, of Temple Hill; Mr. Leslie Peden of South Dakota and Mr. Luther Peden of Temple Hill; two
brothers survive, as well as one sister, Mrs. Joe Harlow, of the Goodnight section.
"Burial as in the Glasgow Cemetery, Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Mr.
Peden was a son of the late Mr. W. E. Peden, and one of the country's most respected citizens. He was a
man of large acquaintance and many friends, and his passing removes a character of much worth and
value to the community."
