Eliza Peden

"MRS. ELIZA PEDEN. Mrs. Eliza J. Peden died at her home in Cowetta, Okla., on April 1st,from paralysis, which struck her the week before. She was the widow of the late Mr. James H. Peden. Mr. and Mrs. Peden spent most of their married life on their farm in the fork of Fallen Timber and Glover's Creeks, just above the Tompkinsville road, six miles from Glasgow. All their children were born and reared there. After the death of Mr. Peden, the family moved to Kansas. Before her marriage she was Miss Ella J. Robinson.She leaves four sons and one daughter all living in the West. They are Ed, Elbert and Cliton, whose addresses we are unable to give, P. B. Peden of Sawyer, Kan., and Mrs. Sam Riggs of Winfield, Kan. Mrs. Peden was a consecrated member of the Baptist Church and died in a living faith. Interment was in the cemetery at Winfield, Kansas."
