Sadie Rigsby MEADOWS - 8 Nov 1904 - 9 April 1930
Mrs. Sadie Meadows died of heart trouble in the office of Dr. W. G. Neilly, last Thursday night.
Mrs. Meadows had had a very severe case of mumps, and was recovering slowly, and had been
complaining of feeling very badly, and still was cheerful and trying to keep from getting down. Early that
night she told Dr. Neilly she wanted to take treatment, and accompanied by a friend went to the
doctor's office. Soon after arriving she swooned over, and the doctor opened the windows, thinking she
had fainted, and as she failed to respond to the fresh air, he washed her face with cold water, and still
failing he called Dr.
Palmore, who found she was dead. The cause was pronounced heart trouble.
She leaves her husband, Mr. F. Meadows and two small children.
She was a daughter of Mr. Ben T. Rigsby, who survives her, her mother being dead, and two sisters,
Mrs. W. Ward and Mrs. Charley Hammett, both of this county. She was only 24 years of age, and her
tragic death was a great blow to her friends.
Burial was in the cemetery at Poplar Log.
