"CHARLES W. LUSTER PASSES TO REWARD. Charles William Luster, living just below Fallen Timber bridge on the Tompkinsville road, died at his home Saturday following a paraletic stroke. He would have been 75 years old yesterday and was born and reared in the Freedom section where he lived until he moved to Fallen Timber 24 years ago.
"He was married to Miss Sallie Douglas, who survives him with one son, W. D. "Willie" Luster, four grandsons, Earl, Wilmer, Paul and Robert; two brothers, Henry of Indianapolis; Ed., of Towanda, Ill.
"He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and was one of the most influential men of the county, always ready to help a friend or neighbor in any way possible.
"Funeral services were conducted Monday at Poplar Log, by Rev. T. F. Grider and burial was in Poplar Log Cemetery.
"Pall bearers were life-long friends, John Nuckols, Frank Miller, J. T. Boyter, Henry Wells, Ollis Buford and John Harlin."
