Headed the start-up team for the Glasgow Manufacturing Facility in 1969 and while in Glasgow served as Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce president, Glasgow Rotary president and director of Associated Industries of Kentucky. Was also a board member of the Glasgow-Barren Co Industrial Development Economic Authority and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow. Veteran of WW II in the US Army.
