Enos B. KINCHELOE - 26 July 1856 - 1939, age 83

"Mr. Enos B. Kincheloe, 83, father of Mr. Charlie Kincheloe, this city, died at his home near Smiths Grove Monday morning around 5:30 o'clock. He had been in ill health several weeks and his condition became worse last Thursday. Death was attributed to complications and infirmities, due to old age.

"A native of Barren County, Mr. Kincheloe was born July 26, 1856 in the Temple Hill section. He engaged in farming practically all his life and moved to Warren county to reside fifty-six years ago. Possessed of a kind and jovial disposition he was widely known in Barren and Warren counties as an influential and outstanding citizen.

"Mr. Kincheloe's influence among his fellow citizens in business and religion was strong and constant. He was a devout member of the Baptist Church and took pride in teaching and practicing the tenents of his religious faith. To his family, he was one of the most devoted of men, tender and solicitious of them, and in every sense was a patient and kind husband and father.

"Besides his son, Mr. Charlie Kincheloe, and wife, Mrs. Ellen Kincheloe, he is survived by five other sons, Messrs Dee Kincheloe, of St. Louis; Elijah Kincheloe, of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Cleveland, Bryant and Paul Kincheloe, all of Smiths Grove; a brother, Mr. J. B. Kincheloe, of Caldwell, Kansas, 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

"Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the Kincheloe home. Burial was in the Smiths Grove Cemetery."
