The Death Mrs. Ada M. Jordan At Home This City, January 19.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ada May
Jordan, widow of the late Mr. Lee Jordan, retired Glasgow photographer, who died August 31, last year,
were conducted at the Glasgow Methodist Church last Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. W. S.
Bolles in charge. Interment was in the Glasgow cemetery.
Mrs. Jordan died at the Samson Community Hospital here last Wednesday afternoon around 5 o'clock
after undergoing treatment two weeks. She was 66 years of age and had been in failing health for more
than a year, and since the death of her husband her condition gradually grew worse. With exception of a
few years in Louisville she spent her entire life-time in Barren county where she was widely known,
having assisted her husband in his studio here.
Mrs. Jordan was a life-long member of the Methodist Church and her life was one of Christian service.
In the passing of this Christian woman, Glasgow has lost one of its truest and noblest citizens and the
Methodist Church a consecrated and devout member. The throng that gathered for her last rites was a
great manifestation of how she was loved in this community.
She is survived by two sisters, Miss Della Jolly, Cave City, and Mrs. Ella Clark, Memphis, Tenn.
