Died: Friday, 29 Oct 1999, home of her daughter, Jerri Ferrell in Franklin, KY, age 79.
Native of Knob Lick community
Daughter of: Daniel S and Ruth Creel Smith, dec'd
Widow of: Earl D. Jolly who died 4 Oct 1987.
Graduated Center High School, valdictorian.
She and husband moved to Cave City in 1943, member Antioch Presbyterian Church in Knob Lick but has attended the Cave City United Methodist Church after moving to Cave City. Served as treasurer of the Sunday School Class for 38 yrs, and on other church committees.
Built and operated with husband several businesses including Bluegrass Motel, Antique Reproduction Glass Shop, Cave City Dry Cleaners, Holiday Best Western Motel, Mammoth Motel, Oasis Motor Inn and Restaurant, Tri-County Shell Oil and ran a small farm outside city limits.
Survivors:
Daughers: Jerri Lynn Jolly Ferrell and husband David of Franklin, KY
Grandsons: David Michael, Bradley Earl and Miles William Ferrell all of Franklin
Preceded in death by:
Brother: Charles Owen Smith
Half-brother: Lawrence Travis Smith
Half-sister: Marie Mylander.
Services: 2 pm Sunday 31 Oct 1999, Bob Hunt Funeral Home, burial Cave City Cemetery.
