Graduate of Asbury College and Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY; served as a Methodist Conference Evangelist prior to WW II; served as an Army Chaplin in the South Pacific during the war. Was a pastor in KY, FL, TN and NC Conferences. Retired 1980, moved to GA with his wife.
Preceded in death by his wife, Louise Oates Hutcherson, married 52 years.

Daughter: Katherine and husband Mark Nysewander of Bloomington, MN
7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and by one nephew, Lyon Hutcherson Jr, local.
Services: 2 pm Sunday, 6 Feb 2000, Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Chapel, Marietta.
Burial Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
