"Mr. John P. Henderson died March 23, 1911. Lived Finney section. Lacked a few days of being 75. Leaves a widow and 14 living children. He was the oldest son of Jeff Henderson, and one of a family of 15. Surviving brothers and sisters: L. D. Henderson, Dallas, Texas; A. J. Henderson of Oakland; Nora Smith, Cedar Grove; Sis Greggs, Scottsville; T W Spellman, Finney. Was married three time. 1st: Sarah Sears, 10 children living Lillie Hawkes, Mrs. J. D. Hawkes, Mrs. Kiah Lewis, J. W. Henderson, C. W. Henderson, Mrs. John Jewell of Okla; Mrs. W. F. Bishop; Mrs. Bass Jewell; Mrs. J. B. Hurt and Mrs. Sam Morris. Married (2) Janie Harston, lived only a few years, had one daughter: Mrs. Jane Winn. Married (3) Minie Huffman and had 3 children: Pete Henderson, Blanch and Mable Henderson. Interred in family burying ground on farm now owned by his son, J. W. Henderson."
