The death of James P. Garnett, Esq., was announced yesterday about noon. The sad event was expected by his friends and they were prepared for the reception of the sad news. Mr. Garnett was a life-long citizen of Barren county, and always maintained the utmost respect and esteem of those who knew him. His life was not only one of christian profession, but his walk was of that highly exemplary character that commanded the admiration of all who came within the circle of his acquaintance. A good man and upright citizen has gone, and we shall know him no more forever.
