Died: Friday, 30 March 2001, age 81.
Born: Barren Co KY 23 Nov 1919
Son of: Evert R and Mamie Hart Froedge, dec'd.
Attending Western KY University and the University of Louisville Medical School.
Interned in US Army,was a medical doctor in Korea and also a Catain during WWII in the European Theater. While serving, received a Silver Star and Purple Heart.
Member Lafayette Church of Christ, practiced medicine as a general practitoner and general surgeon in Lafayette from 1951 to 1976. After retirement from medical field, attending Armroy University, receiving a securities exchange degree and worked as an investment banker/broker for 13 years, retiring due to health problems. Involved in his community, having served on the Macon Bank & Trust Co, Board; past president, Rotary Club (charter member); Paul Sargent Scholar Board of Upper Cumberland Association; board member, Senior Citizens; helped initiate and member, Macon Co. Golf & Country Club; member, Lebanon Golf & Country Club; charter member; College Heights Scholarship Fund, WKU; member, Volunteer State Golf Association, representative, 1976 Tenn. State Constitutional Convention; member, Lafayette Chamber of Commerce; and Lafayette City Councilman.

Wife of 54 years: Ruth Thomas Froedge
Daughter: Sharon Jiles, Columbus, GA
Grandsons: William Zachary and Bradley Evert Jiles
Sisters: Leola Crossman of Punta Gorda Isles, FL; Emogene Riherd and Anito Scott, both of Glasgow, and Joye Nunn of Brentwood, TN
Brothers: Earl of Glasgow, Ferrell of Bowling Green, KY and Jerry K, MD of Hickory, NC.
Preceded in death by brothers: Maxwell an Elwood Froedge.
Services: 1 pm Monday, 2 April 2001, Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home, Lafayette, TN, burial Anderson & Son Memorial Park.
