Nannie FRAZIER - 20 May 1866 - 30 Apr 1930
Mrs. Nannie Frazier, known to her host of friends as Mrs. 'Nan" Frazier, died at her residence on
Columbia Ave., Tuesday midnight. She was the widow of the late Mr. Frank Frazier, a Union soldier in
the Civil War, who sold goods near Nobob for many years, and later moved to this place, where he died
several years ago.
Before her marriage, Mrs. Frazier was Miss Nannie Curtis, and is survived by one brother and one sister,
Mr. Ross Curtis, who lived with her, and Mrs.
J. F. Sabens of Indiana. The late Mr. Joe Curtis of Burkesville was a brother, and Rev. J. S. Curtis of this
place is a nephew.
Mrs. Frazier was a devout member of the Baptist Church and was as good a lady as lived. She had been
in feeble health for a number of years but had not been confined to her home much of the time. Tuesday she walked up town to a doctor's office, and at the supper table she complained of her head
hurting her, and by midnight she was dead, evidently of appoplexy.
The funeral will be from the Baptist Church here this morning at 9:00 o'clock, conducted by Revs.
Gaines and Grider, after which the remains will be taken to Poplar Log for short services and burial in
the cemetery there."
Memory possession that was in the possession of the late Brice T. Leech.
