"George Ford, Local Jeweler Dies Monday, 60, well-known Glasgow businessman, died Monday morning at 6:40 am at Louisville Jewish Hospital where he had been undergoing treatment for the past two weeks.Ford had operated the George Ford Jewelry Company here since 1947. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Grace Hall Ford, one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Ford, a son, George Parker Ford, Atlanta, three grandchildren; one brother, Harry Ford; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Detjen and Mrs. Settie Powell, all of Louisville. Funeral services are incomplete but will be under the direction of Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home."
