"Aged Lady Dies. Mrs. Amanda Fisher died at the home of her husband, Mr.
Austin Fisher near Bristletown, Friday night, at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her husband and two sons, Messrs. W. F. and T. C. Fisher of this place, both well known mechanics. Before her marriage, she was Miss Amanda Carver, and was born and reared in the southern part of the county. She is survived by two brothers, Messrs. James Carver of Austin, and Artemus Carver of Missouri. Mrs. Fisher had been a member of the Baptist church for 70 years, and was a lady of the highest character. The interment as in the cemetery at Mt. Pleasant, near Roseville, Sunday, after funeral services by Rev. Haid Gillock."
