Colonel in the Spanish-American War, having joined the Army when he was 18. Commander of the Kentucky Department of the United Spanish American War Veterans.
Son of the late William Henry and Sammie Alice Crain Edmunds.
Retired farmer

Daughters: Mrs. Evelyn Erp of Route 1 Glasgow; Ms. Dora E. Fitz of TX and Mrs. Phillip Harvey of FL
Sister: Mrs.Lucille Edmunds Likins of Route 1 Glasgow
Four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren
Services: Friday, Hardy and Son Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green, burial Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens there.
