James P. Christoper "Kip" Depp, 30, of Glasgow, died Monday, June 26, 2000 in Glasgow. Born in Glasgow, KY, June 4, 1970, he was a 1988 graduate of Barren County High School and had attended ten and a half years in the Glasgow City School System. He was pursuing a degree in environmental preservation and management at Western Kentucky University and would have graduated in the spring of 2001. He was also an employee of SKF in Glasgow, an accomplished musician and vocalist and also enjoyed sports. He attended the Refuge Church of Christ at Eighty-Eight.
He is survived by his wife, Lesa Bybee Depp of Glasgow; one son, James Weston Keith Depp, at home; his mother, Rachel Rigsby-Depp of Glasgow; his father and step-mother, David and Debbie Depp of Glasgow; two sisters, Amy Nanellyn Depp Tarrants of Central City and Crystal Depp of Glasgow; his paternal grandfather, James W Depp of Glasgow; his maternal grandmother, Nannie Slaughter Rigsby of Glasgow; two nephews, Zachary Layton Tarrants and Dillon Bybee; one niece, Sarah Elizabeth Skaggs; and several special friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Amy Browning Depp and maternal grandfather, Otha P. Rigsby.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.
