Very active in the work of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ); member of the Christian Church in Manasas where he also served a deacon and elder. After moving to Glasgow, transferred membership to 1st Christian Church here. He and wife were charter members of two new Christian Churches in VA, one being in Fairfax Co VA and the other Prince William Christian Church.
Member of Men's Club at Morehead State University; member of the Blue Lodge and veteran of WW II.

Several nieces and nephews.
