Kittie B. BIGGERS - 5 Apr 1866 - 3 Aug 1915

"Mrs. Biggers Dead.

"Mrs. Kitty Biggers died at the home of her husband, Mr. J. Ish Biggers, the well-known stock trader, on Boyds Creek, Tuesday night, after a severe illness of many months.

"Her life was despaired of some time ago but she rallied and grew better though only for a short time. She was a most excellent character and always scattered sunshine and happiness whereer she went. To know her was to love and admire her and consequently she had numbers of friends and was nobly and highly regarded in her immediate and surrounding communities.

"She was the daughter of the late Mr. Amps Childress, who was at one time Sheriff of Barren County and a prominent man of this county. The following brothers and sisters survive her: Mr. Bob Childress, of Oklahoma; S. G. Childress, of Oklahoma; Mrs. Mollie Austin and Mr. Joe Childress, of Clarksville, Oklahoma; Mrs. Joe Seay, of Bonham, Texas; Mrs. Julia Reed, of Franklin, Ky.; Dr. G. Chat. Childress, of Knoxville, Tenn.; Mr. A. C. Childress, of Peters Creek, Mr. John Childress, of Boyd, Texas, and Dr. H. M. Childress, of Paducah. Also she is survived by her husband and the following children: Misses Mossie, Pauline, Eva and Mable, and Messrs. Reed and Childress Biggers, all of whom abide at the parental home.

"Funeral services were held at Poplar Log at 11 o'clock thursday by Elder J. D. Smith, after which the remains were interred in the cemetery at that place."
