Past Chairman of the Board of Lindsey Wilson College where he received an honorary doctorate degree. Active with the Boy Scouts of America; served on the Audubon Council Board of Directors; awarded the Silver Beaver Award. Served with many local and area businesses and civic organizations; board member of 30 years on the Board of Directors of Citizens National Bank and Trust Company.
Church: Long time member of State Street United Methodist; was former chairman of the Board and served in many areas of the church; an officer and committee member locally, state wide and regionally.
