Zebedee BERRY - 27 Jan 1885 - 18 Nov 1938
"Mr. Zebedee Berry, 53, owner of the Pageville Roller Mill and one of the most prominent citizens of South Barren, died at his home in the Pageville community last Friday morning around 1:30 o'clock of a heart attack. Apparently in good health, his passing came as a distinct shock to friends and relatives throughout the county.
"Mr. Berry was a member of a pioneer family of this county. He resided in Glasgow four years while deputy jailer under Mr. W. T. Berry and moved to the Pageville community 15 years ago where he entered the milling business.
"A man of intellect, he took an active interest in current events, and held far-sighted opinions upon measures which concerned the citizens of his community religiously, morally and politically and was ever ready to voice his views and follow his convictions.
"He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Berry, a brother, Mr. Gus Berry, of Allen county; two sisters, Mrs. Susan Maury and Mrs. Mary Britt, all of Barren county.
"Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Olivet Church, near Austin last Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock, the Rev. I. A. Wilson in charge. Interment was in the cemetery there."
Undated Glasgow KY newspaper, buried at Austin Cemetery.
