Kittie or Katie BECK - 1862 - 1940
Funeral services for Mrs. Kittie Beck, 78, widow of Mr. Robert Beck, who died at his home on Bryant
Street in this city on Tuesday, Jan. 2, were conducted at the Methodist Church here Sunday afternoon at
2 o'clock, the Rev. R. W. Raaf in charge. Burial was in the Hiseville cemetery beside her husband.
Mrs. Beck died at the Samson Community Hospital Saturday morning around 2 o'clock. She had been in
ill health several years and was admitted to the hospital for treatment last Friday morning.
Several nieces are the closest relatives surviving. Pallbearers were Messrs Roy Grinstead, Geo. Redford,
Leonard Furlong, Ervin Houchens, E. L. Kerley and K. M. Chambers."
A daughter of the late Mr. Henderson Arterburn, she was a native of Monroe county. She was married
to Mr. Beck in St. Louis and later moved to Barren county where she has resided for the past sixty years.
Mrs. Beck was widely known throughout the county. She made a profession of faith in Christ early in life.

On the stone at Hiseville Cemetery she is shown as Katie. It appears that both she and her husband died
