Rom Q. BARRICK - 1870 - 1939

"Funeral services for R. Q. Barrick, 68, prominent farmer of the Beckton section, were conducted at the Old Zion church Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. H. C. Ogles being in charge. Burial was in the cemetery there.

"Mr. Barrick died at his home near Old Zion Tuesday at 12:15 a.m. He had been in declining health several years. The passing of this fine man removes a valuable citizen from this community. Mr. Barrick was a highly respected citizen and a devout members of the Old Zion Methodist Church.

"Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Barrick; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Shaw, of Park City; four sons, Yancey Barrick, Columbus, Ohio; Charles Barrick, Louisville; Willard Barrick, of Temple Hill; Clifton Barrick, of Glasgow, route one; three sisters, Mrs. Della Davidson, of Beckton; Miss Edna Barrick, of Beckton; Mrs. B. Holman, of Glasgow. Two brothers also survive - Mr. John Barrick, of Beckton and Mr. Claude Barrick, Indianapolis."
