"Deputy Marshall G. R. Bailey was shot and fatally wounded by accidental discharge of his pistol. At the
time Mr. Bailey was looking at some toys in Star Palace Store; took a top and stooped over to spin it on
floor; as he did so his pistol dropped on floor and discharged. "Doc Bailey" youngest son of Mr. and Mrs.
John O. Bailey, age 33. Leaves wife, Miss Ida Foster, and two small children. Interred Odd Fellows
Cemetery." (Not found there.)
