Amanda Susan Marrs Bacon

Mrs. Amanda Susan Marrs Bacon, 74, wife of Mr. R. H. Bacon, died at her home Tuesday, June 25. She had been in declining health the past seven years and death was attributed to complications of diseases. She bore her pains with an unusually happy disposition throughout her illness.

She was born and reared in Barren county and beame a member of the Union No. 2 Baptist Church when 16 years of age. She was very active in church work throughout her life and was a saintly character in every respect.

She was married to Mr. Richard H. Bacon on Feb. 1, 1901. B, Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Myrtle Stallings, Indianapolis; Roy Bacon and Mrs. Earl Bradley, Glasgow; Mrs. Walter Shives, Summer Shade; Chris and Ewell Bacon, at home. two sisters, Mrs. Donnie Sartain, of Fithian, Ill., and Mrs. Tom Grizzle, Glasgow, also survive.
