Patrick Henry Anderson

Submitted by Sandi Gorin. She notes:
"I have no connection, no further information and am not seeking additional information."

"Mr. Patrick Henry Anderson died at the residence of Mr. Miller Moore, on Boyd's Creek, Tuesday night, in the eightieth year of his age. The death of Mr. Anderson removes from the county one of the most eccentric characters that ever resided within her borders. For the past forty years he has lived alone, and in virtual seclusion, on a little farm in the Boyd's Creek country, neither visiting the neighbors or caring to have them visit him. During all these years he has done his own cooking, washing and housekeeping, and it was only a few days before his death that he could be persuaded to leave his loney home to go to Mr.Moore's. Mr. Anderson was well connected, and in his early manhood, it is said, gave promise of a useful and successful career."
