Spent most of his life in the insurance business, was also a former school teacher in the Railton, Merry Oaks and Beech Grove communities. A realtor in the 1950's, one time owner of Greenleaf Nursery. Kentucky State Representative from 1963-1967, postmaster during 1968 and 1969, served 8 years as a Barren Co Magistrate, served on the Glasgow City Council and the Barren County Building Commission. Member First United Methodist Church and the Glasgow Lions Club.

Daughter: Linda Allen Jones and husband Wayne of Louisville, KY
Grandchildren: Andrea Jones of Louisville and Allison Jones of CT.
Cremation, memorial services at First United Methodist Church at a later date, under direciton of A F Crow and Son Funeral Home.
