These marriages have been transcribed from microfilm of the Barren Co Ky Marriage Register, copied in 1960. The marriages were loosely compiled in the Register by date with some years intersperse with others. They were recorded when the minister "returned" the marriage information to the court house - sometimes several years later. It is possible you will find marriages here that no longer exist at the Barren County Courthouse due to certificates that have disappeared over the years from overzealous researchers.
It is also possible that marriage certificates exist that were not recorded in the Register, due to the information being missed in the recording process or the minister did not file the return, therefore looking in other sources might produce information not found here.
